    Among the parts that are being cast with our systems are: bushings, switchgear of any kind, insulators and dry type transformers....

  • The Systems comprise the entire casting process: Preparation of the material components resin and hardener (conveying, formulation, homogenization, degassing), production of the reactive mix and casting of the parts under vacuum/atmosphere. Any resin system can be processed, including fillers, and also with strongly disproportional mixing ratios.

  • The Silicone Vacuum Treatment SVT developed by HÜBERS ensures that the parts produced are absolutely free from voids and cavities. Due to the thorough degassing of the material components, bubbles are already prevented during material preparation. Thus compared to methods without pre-degassing of the material, SVT offers a very high quality of manufactured products as well as a significant advantage in production costs.

    In processes without pre-degassing, very high pressures must be applied in the mold to crush the existing bubbles. Pressures of more than 200 bar are possible. On the one hand this requires large clamping forces and the use of steel molds, and on the other hand even more pronounced cast skins („flash“) emerge due to the high pressure between the mold halves. With the SVT® method 2 to 6 bar in the mold is sufficient, thereby enabling the use of aluminum molds and avoiding the formation of cast skins almost completely.

  • The APG-process by HÜBERS permits short cycle times thanks to rapid gelation and demoulding with automatic opening and closing of the mould. During the gelling process, fresh material is supplied continuously to the mould under pressure in order to prevent cracks and voids and to compensate for the shrinkage of the material. The mould is held together by the clamping machine.

     The degassed material is injected into the APG mould directly from the static mixer. Shrinkage compensation is carried out by the HÜBERS metering pumps. One central mixing and metering system can serve several clamping machines. In this case each clamping machine has its own static mixer positioned directly in front of the mould and also has its own shrinkage compensation unit to maintain the pressure. The system is supplied via a ring line which requires no maintenance and is free of sedimentation. In principle the length of this line is insignificant.

  • HÜBERS' automatic clamping machines permit the productivity advantages of APG and SVT systems to be fully realized. The whole system as well as the mold are easily accessible. They can be tilted and rotated around various axes. This enables the molds to be inserted by automatic lifting devices.

    The static mixer can be directly docked on to / decoupled from the filling nozzle. The short path with just a small quantity of reactive mass ensures the uniform, homogeneous quality of the cast component and minimizes wastage of material.

    Core pullers can be fitted wherever needed.
